Little Naches River - Washington State

The Little Naches River Beds are located North West of Yakima, Washington. This locality has 2 well known beds for collecting eggs, and has many more waiting to be discovered

Bed #1 is a wide spot in the road with a trailhead leading into the Forest. Follow this trail uphill about 1/4 Mile and the digs are every where.

Bed #2 is a roadcut locality. Typically these eggs are a conglomerate type formation, but dig through the talus material and you'll find loose eggs.

Here's a pair of Naches Bed #2 Eggs. This is a small egg with a white colored agate core. These are intersting specimens!

Size 1-3/8" x 1-5/8"
Item # NWA-015

Here's another pair of Naches bed #2 Eggs. This is a really cool specimen. If you notice the top part of the egg has a white line. What has happened is the Thunderegg broke during formation and healed itself with a white material. Geology does some interesting things!

Deming, New Mexico Thundereggs

Located in Deming, New Mexico is several spots which produce Thundereggs. Probably the best known and best quality is one dug by the well know "Geode Kid" Robert Colburn. The eggs listed below are from this area, However I cannot be positive as to which pin point mine they were dug from.

This is a nice looking "Baker" Egg. This came from the well known Geode Kids Mine. It's a hollow egg with clear druzy quartz. It's a hair larger than the small eggs I sold over the last year.
