Yesterday I spent a very long day in the Ochoco's searching out a new discovery a friend of mine found. I can't make out if this was an actual Thunderegg dig from years ago or just the result of a logging operation which exposed the eggs. Regardless with a few directions, a great peaceful hike,  I was able to locate the bed and dig around 150# of eggs. So far these are great looking and can't wait to get a few polished. The name on these is "Eddy Bed"

Today I made a trip to Ashwood, Oregon and made a visit to Alex McDonalds Ranch.  Some of you might have seen Alex's Ranch while it was featured on the Cash & Treasure T.V. series about the petrified wood they dig on the property. I made a plan with Alex to come to the ranch and prospect for Thundereggs and was very surprised to find him and his Father dozing and ripping with a monster D-9 Cat cleaning out a new bed for me to collect in. They usually only dig petrified wood and a new angel wing agate and it seems on a rare occasion they dig Thundereggs. What a fantastic experience digging Thundereggs - Alex and his Father are the most kind and friendly people I have met and I really enjoyed my time this weekend.
After spending 4 hours with the huge cat we failed to find top grade Thundereggs, but regardless it was awesome!  I hope soon I'll be heading back down there and continue my search for more Thundereggs so I can bring another locality to everyone!

Below is a couple video's I shot during the day.

Now this is how you dig Thundereggs!
